Celluloid Heroes

This is an illustration work done for a university project called Celluloid Heroes. The brief is to use the moving image (movies, TV series, anime, games etc) as inspiration for character illustration.

Sherlock Holmes and Jim Moriarty illustration. Based on the BBC TV series Sherlock

The initial concept, though, was to reverse their roles: Sherlock would be the criminal and Moriarty the detective. Would be really interesting as I think Sherlock is very close to being evil sometimes.

Feedback was: the idea is ambitious but there is not enough information to indicate who is good or bad. So I decided to go with the conventional roles.

Thanks for watching!
